My love for the world of advertising and media has always been prominent and made a pivotal turn that moment I laid eyes on my first published article within the pages of a beautiful, glossy magazine perked on the shelf at the local newsstand. I knew I had an endless supply of ideas to share with an audience and a vision to creatively capture the eyes of a consumer. As I took the magazine to checkout, the cashier said “that will be $7.50”. I stood still for a few seconds contemplating whether to break my student budget on a magazine I can surely get for free or make the purchase. The purchase was made. Not because of my impatience to receive a free copy, rather the realization that although budgets are meant to be managed, investments are meant to be made strategically to increase success, and in this case the investment was me. I now have more than 14 years leading award-winning campaigns implementing brand development through experiential marketing, logistical planning, social strategies, and traditional advertising.
