BellatRx is a leading manufacturer of packaging equipment and complete lines serving a broad range of industries including food, beverage, pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, and personal care for solid products, liquid, powders, and granules.In the role of Mechanical Designer I was involved in the following:• Mechanical design for new and existing equipment• Create mechanical and pneumatic drawings• Communicate with suppliers as required• Trouble shoot mechanical aspects of new equipment, identify and fix problems• Test new equipment to make sure it performs according to specifications• Evaluate machine functioning and propose improvements as required• Analyze customer requirements and specifications• Solve and facilitate customer service issues• Develop equipment technical documentation package

Yallourn is a 1450MW Coal-fired Power Station, situated in the Victoria, Australia.I was employed under a 3 month contract which was extended twice for a major maintenance outage. This allowed me to continue on with my previous work as well as take on the new responsibility of Quality Assurance for the Steam Feed Pump Overhaul.My responsibilities while working with EnergyAustralia were:• Investigating previous plant modifications which had been completed but undocumented. This work was centered on the decommisioned HPH (High Pressure Heater) system. - Inspecting plant differences to current plant documentation. - Completing Plant Modification Procedures - Updating the current state of the HPH plant on all company systems. Drawings, Permit Software (PAS), Instrumentation Software (PI View), Operating Manuals, Maintenance Manuals and Description Manuals• Investigating plant alarms through the PI Data, identifying possible causes and creating solutions• Organising quotes and purchase orders for plant items and services• Supervising on-site work by contractors• Completing and managing all Quality Assurance Documents related the Steam Feed Pump.• Writing the Outage Report for the Steam Feed Pump Overhaul.

During my final year of studies I worked with HRL Technology, a company centered around providing high-end consulting, testing and advisory services to a range of industrial clients. I worked on diverse range projects, as described below:Product Creation - Robotic NDTA niche market opportunity to create a Robotic NDT testing apparatus for the power industry. This included • Conceptual Design• Product Design CAD (Solid Edge)• Managing Product SourcingV/line: Train Bogie NDT TestingThis project saw me involved in a hands on fashion. • Exposing existing cracks (magnetic particle)• Visual inspection, labelling and photographing all found defects • Production of Engineering Reports for clientsContract Tendering• Involvement in the tender process for maintenance and inspection work

Working within the Brown Coal Open Cut Mine of Loy Yang Power, I was involved in the day to day operations of Belle Banne. The work we completed together was centered on conveyor belt maintenance starting from inside 2000 ton dredgers all the way to the stations coal bunker.My duties included:- Belt Splicing and maintenance.- Conveyor belt idler repair and replacement.- Maintenance & Engineering inspections on site equipment.

- Filtering and analyzing unplanned plant downtime data from 2006 – 2010 and through collaboration with the head of each department identifying recurring events to implement improved maintenance strategies.- Researched possible materials with high corrosion and erosion resistance that could improve boiler duct lifetimes.

● Within the Conditional Monitoring Group - Use of vibration recording equipment to trend and predict rotational plant failures within the Conditional Monitoring Group. Conducted thermal imaging equipment for plant inspection the leading to discovery of refractory thermal failure. - Generating an Australian Standards compliance report in regards to aging power plant ladders.- Data querying & filtering of operational IDF fans, manipulation of this data with the goal of finding the cause of rundown time discrepancies.

This role was a short contract which ran for the duration of the Major Outage at Loy Yang Power Station. Large sections of refractory were replaced throughout the inside of the boiler. My role involved following daily progress on the refractory placement and completing the following tasks:• Recording all refractory installation• Preparation and testing of all samples to ensure all refractory meets quality acceptance criteria• Design & Generation of quality compliance reports.• Monitoring site installation to ensure compliance with quality procedures
