Justin is Head of Americas and Head of the global Funds & Co-Investments group (L&R) at Temasek, a $380 billion global investment firm.Justin also serves on the Board of Directors of 13 Temasek-controlled companies in the United States. He was previously a board member of 7 companies in Singapore that hold Temasek's interests in Virgin Mobile Latin America, General Electric India, SingTel and others.A founding member of Temasek’s U.S. operations, he helped establish the New York office in 2014 and the San Francisco office in 2016. Prior to joining Temasek in 2012, Justin was a Mergers & Acquisitions lawyer at Minter Ellison, Australia's largest law firm. Justin has played a lead role in the following investments by Temasek in the United States:• $67 billion takeover of NYSE-listed EMC by a consortium comprising Dell, Silver Lake and Temasek (one of the largest-ever leveraged buyouts of a publicly listed company), followed by an IPO of “Dell EMC" on the New York Stock Exchange.• $19 billion acquisition of Dr Pepper Snapple (co-investment with European private equity firm JAB) and merger with coffee giant Keurig Green Mountain to create the combined entity Keurig Dr Pepper with $33 billion in market value.• $7 billion takeover of ADT (the largest security company in North America) by a consortium including Apollo and Temasek, followed by an IPO of ADT on the New York Stock Exchange.• Investments in Airbnb, DoorDash, Snowflake and Roblox when they were private companies. They all later completed IPOs in 2020 and 2021.• Investments in Waymo (Google's self-driving car unit) and Verily (Google's healthcare unit).• $2 billion investment in NYSE-listed Gilead Sciences.• $2 billion leveraged buyout of Global Healthcare Exchange (a leading US healthcare supply chain management platform).• $1 billion leveraged buyout of Internet Brands (an American internet media company) by KKR and Temasek. • $500 million investment in Thermo Fisher Scientific (an American biotechnology company) in connection with Thermo Fisher's $14 billion takeover of Life Technologies. • $450 million investment in Univar (the largest chemical distributor in North America), followed by an IPO on the New York Stock Exchange.
