About Justine Audrain
Development professionnal with 12+ years experience in projects and programmes design, management and implementation, I have worked in both public and private sector organizations in 3 different continents (South America and the Caribbean, Africa and Europe). I currently manage the LoCAL Facility in Uganda for the United Nations Capital Development Fund (UNCDF) as Programme Specialist (P4). In my previous position as Deputy Director of Programs for the FMDV (Global Fund for Cities Development), I have successful track records in strategies and fund raising. Throughout my past experiences, I have progressively focused on the nexus between local governance and adaptation to climate change, through the lense of climate finance. Town planner and political scientist by training (and passion), I combine my skills in program/project management with a variety of technical and sectorial expertise, ranging from sustainable urban/infrastructure development, local/municipal/regional planning, public/municipal finances, local economic development, capacity building and institutional strenghtening. My area of specialization is local development and climate finance. As a person, I thrive on leading actions where it is most needed and impactful for vulnerable communities.
