Senior Program Manager For Policy Advocacy And Partnerships
CurrentCollaborate with African and US partners to establish regional HIV and human rights advocacy coalitions and platforms to ensure community priorities are influencing national and global HIV programs, policies and funding. Support coalitions to develop and implement strategy and governance approaches and fundraise. - As former secretariat lead for COMPASS coalition (2019-2023), oversaw partnerships and grantmaking to nearly 30 civil society partner organizations in Malawi, Tanzania, Uganda, United States and Zimbabwe and led implementation of coalition strategy. - Mentor new COMPASS secretariat to take on leadership role. Liaise with project donors and develop and manage project budgets of up to $3M. Lead proposal development and narrative and financial reporting and presentations to key donors and stakeholders. Lead development and implementation of organizational partnership strategy. Facilitate cross-team partnership advisory group to guide and monitor operationalization of the strategy. Develop standard operating procedures, guidelines and tools to support standardization of approaches to partner management to ensure equitable partnerships and consistent partner experience. Document and share approaches and lessons learned with peer organizations. Participate in organizational leadership teams: Program Strategy Team, Operations Management Team.Manage team of five staff and consultants based in the United States, Kenya, Malawi and Zimbabwe.Train and mentor AVAC staff and civil society partners on work planning, budgeting, proposal development.
