In my current position with Ascot Enterprises, I interact as a salesperson and Design Specialist for the HUD, Park Model and Modular manufacturers in several locations across the country. Ascot supplies this industry with various window treatment and bedding components. These tems include: drapery panels, valances, cornice boards & soft cornices. In addition, we also supply bedspreads, shams, headboads, accent pillows, blinds, decorative rods and many other items. As trends and consumer needs change, I have been doing more Interior Design assistance. I have done the Design assistance while in the GM position, for some of the local customers as time allowed. However, this service now extends beyond just the window treatments and bedding. It encompasses knowledge of all components used in the interiors to give a coherent look and flow to the interiors. I feel that with my years in purchasing, I learned a great deal about building materials and how they are used in production and this has helped me tremendously. But, ultimately...my 26 years with Ascot and working with fabrics in changing/evolving patterns and colors has also been advantageous. I find myself always wanting to learn more and attend many displays and building expos to keep me on point with trends and interiors.

I worked for Ascot Enterprises as the General Manager/Sales for the PA manufacturing facility. During this period I supervised approx. 20+ production employees and 2 office processors. I had a production manager overseeing the day to day demands of completing work as efficiently as possible. With my purchasing background (2 prior purchasing positions before Skyline) I still did all the purchasing and inventory control of fabrics and all other necessary goods. In addition to being ultimately responsible for managing the entire plant, I made sales calls to generate new business and visits to maintain customer service with existing accounts. My existing and prospective territory encompassed mostly the Northeast region, but extended into the midwest and southeast as well. I attended many regional trade and individual plant shows to assist in drapery installations and other neccessary prep work to ensure homes were “show ready”. Many of these trade shows were in various locations across the US. I juggled all these tasks while dealing with maneragerial responsibilities and reports required by the corporate office.

Purchasing building materials for a sizeable manufactured housing plant. Doing so by: reviewing floor plans and production orders to determine products to order. Maintaining the proper inventory level of all basic commodities used in all floors. Doing routine cycle counts and forecasting purchasing decisions, sometimes based on prior usages. In addition, managing a purchasing and receiving team of 6 or so. At the time of my employment as the MCM (Material Control Manager) Skyline was building approx. 10 floors per day.
