• Key member of Golf Canada’s Championships Division and assist with the organization and planning of Golf Canada championships as assigned. To include National Amateur championships, CN Future Links, Canadian Women’s Tour and any professional qualifying tournaments as required• Schedule pre-championship visits to host venues• Follow responsibilities for Golf Canada Tournament Director as outlined in the tournament manuals• Lead championship organizing committees and work closely with host club volunteers• Ensure host club committees remain within pre-approved championship budget• Manage entry applications and work with championship staff to select championship fields• Maintain amateur championships websites and update championship information as needed• Assist with all aspects of the championship division including inventory, tournament preparations, promotions and program development• Revision of tournament entry forms and establish tournament “fact sheets” – to include; directions, hotel information, venue information, local committee information, letters, or other information as it pertains to the championship• Distribution of entries and tournament information to players, provincial associations, website and Golf Canada Governors• Prepare travel itinerary for each year• Liaise with national golf associations and NCAA coaches to recruit top amateurs from around the world to compete in Golf Canada championships• Write and proof-read documents, telephone duties, coordinate meetings, photocopying and ordering of equipment/supplies as requiredBILINGUAL DUTIES:• Assist in French translation (including e-mails, documents and phone calls) for other departments across Golf Canada• Assist and review French translation for championship documents• Interview potential Golf Canada candidates in French to determine their language proficiency• Answer phone calls and e-mails from host clubs in French• Liaison with our French-speaking host clubs and volunteers
