*This is an undergraduate leadership & strategy class project coordinated by the Ateneo de Manila University, Gawad Kalinga, and McKinsey & Company•Refined the strategy and operations of Real Cacao, a start-up social enterprise, by researching potential cacao supply and social impact in Camarines Sur and Sorsogon City•Visited the small cacao farm-holders to understand their needs and potential comparative advantage, as well as the viability of the provinces in Bicol region as a competitive cacao source•Analysed the role and value-chain position of the Philippine Cacao Industry in the international chocolate industry as a net cacao importer of consumer chocolate despite being a supplier of raw cacao beans•Conducted a pilot test for fermenting the cacao beans in the Camarines Sur province
