I started at the CementBloc as a full time intern in New York City over the summer then I continued as a part time remote consultant during the school year. ● I preformed complex Linux configuration and troubleshooting tasks. ● I maintained a Drupal website.● I did extensive work updating, maintaining, and creating web front ends for Microsoft SQL databases using IronSpeed Designer and .NET.● I virtualized a production Cisco Call Manager cluster. ● I audited all of the organization's current websites running on Apache or Microsoft IIS using VMware V-Sphere.● I built email templates for an international audience.

While working as a freelancer and going to school, I was responsible for all the technology needs of Action Untied, a local non-profit. I worked to ensure the Action United had consistent and reliable technology services while minimizing costs to the organization. I was hired as a help desk tech in a small IT department supporting a national network. After joining the team I was quickly tasked with challenging assignments, including rebuilding Linux servers and troubleshooting VoIP. Before the organization collapsed we were hot target for cyber attacks, and I was on the forefront of the project to improve the organization's security posture.During my time at ACORN I:● Developed and implemented a program to encrypt laptops in an effort to improve the organization's security posture.● Helped administrate and troubleshoot an enterprise VoIP phone system including configuring Asterisk servers, SIP phones, and DD WRT routers.● Created a new secure newsgroup system on a Linux platform to replace the old insecure system, and I migrated all the data from the old system. ● Developed email templates in Salsa and helped communications staff modify the HTML for mass email templates ensuring they would render well in various email clients.● Built a Drupal website.● Used VMware and Virtual Box for extensive system testing and development.● Preformed configuration and troubleshooting of remote user’s hardware, software and network issues.● Regularly updated the settings on production BSD and Linux systems in the command line.● Provided professional phone and email support to staff.
