Mofuji is a design, consulting, and sharing firm that places a strong focus on the relationship between people of various backgrounds and experience levels. In traditional fields like architecture, there exists frameworks and methods of doing business that has changed very little within the last century. Despite opportunities for a modern, collaborative institution of design, not many organizations have embraced such changes. Mofuji, however, is an institution that embraces the changes of our society by developing design tools and strategies that will allow us to leverage the wealth of resources that surround us.

Performed the roles of CEO, engineer, product designer, accountant, administrative assistant, sales manager, marketing manager, and many others as the sole full-time partner at Revenio Technologies. Revenio is a startup that my partners and I founded shortly after graduating from the Illinois MBA. We developed a prototype for a wrist worn tracking device for Alzheimer's and dementia sufferers who reside in nursing homes, but did not go to market.

Donated time and expertise to help a non-profit start-up focused on changing the paradigm of prosthetics design and distribution with overall business strategy and business development.IPT is an incredible organization with smart, passionate people with their heads and hearts aligned perfectly to make real change. I am lucky enough to have met one of the founders in a class and am now doing what I can to help them move from a primarily R&D organization to a full fledged non-profit business.

Conducted business intelligence on intellectual property from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, focusing on background and prior art searches, market opportunity identification, and commercialization analysis. Basically, I got to spend a year learning about cutting-edge research - some of which bordered on science fiction - and understanding it well enough to make go/no-go decisions about whether or not UIUC should pursue patent protection and licensing opportunities for each one. I really got to test my ability to understand science that few have seen before and help translate that into layman's terms and identify possible business opportunities in that research.Stimulating and challenging, the internship exposed me to venture capital, IP valuation, and entrepreneurship. This experience was eye-opening and has helped solidify my desire to build a career around translating great ideas into successful products and businesses.
