Australia

In 2019, I have had the opportunity to travel one year in Australia with the Working Holiday Visa. During this year, I have worked in different fiels: -3 months of volunteering for a wildlife sanctuary, structure named Natureworld situated in the East Coast of Tasmania (https://www.natureworld.com.au/). This experience has given me the possibility to discover the Tasmanian fauna, the animal keeper job and the managment complexity of this kind of structure. -Few months in the agricultural fiels: fruit picking, vines planting and maintaining, orchard work before the future picking season. This has enabled me to dicover the agricultural work and it made me realize the importance of the physical condition and the influence of the climat change. -3 months of three planting with Outland Ressources in New South Wales Australia. This experience was the most challenging but also the most rewarding of my life. To be a good tree planter you need a "steel mental" and you are always pushing your limits physically and mentally. -Few months in the restaurant industry (waitress, cleaner, cashier) that have permitted me to strengthen my english level. This entire experience has given me the possibility to develop skills (perseverance, endurance, independence and adaptability), to discover new fields different from my previous experiences, to reinforce my english; but moreover, this year has permitted me to observe new cultures, landscapes and lifestyle. Finally, the daily work outside made me reconnect with nature and myself.

In the course of my work in an environmental education non-profit named Teragir, I was a project facilitator, in charge of the management of the Blue Flag programme (pavillonbleu.org) with two other persons. The Blue Flag, one of the 7 programmes of the NGO Teragir, is an evironmental and touristic label attributes to the municipalities (more preciesly the beaches managed by them) and marinas managers for they environmental managment. In order to obtain the prize, the candidates have to meet different criteria in the field of environmental education, water quality and waste management. My work was to help them to meet the eco-label criteria and develop a sustainable developement policy but also to guide the auditors (that visit the sites during the summer period) and to participate in the overall programme coordination with the project manager and project coordinator. This work has permitted me to gain knowledge in coastal preservation, label organisation and to improve my skills in environmental project management.

My mission during this civic service in Tetraktys association (local development association working internationaly) was to create rural touristic development with the Burkinabè:- Help the local association Kuru Kofe in Burkina Faso during a 3 months mission in order to realise a territorial appraisal of the "cliffs territory" (analysing the issues and suggesting planning to conserve and enhance the cultural and natural heritage of the cliffs territory between two cities: Bobo-Dioulasso and Banfora)-Helping in the creation of territory understanding tools : maps, interviews with the communauties, data collection.This experience was prefesionally and personally beneficial, this experience enabled me to become aware of rural life realities in Burkina Faso, forge links with the populations, discover the Burkinabè administrations and associations operating modes. Mostly it enables me to gain self confidence, independance and skilfulness in work. Moreover, working with Tetraktys permited me to discover the association work and the work of a project manager.I learnt how to respond to call for projects, how to collectively think and work, to write financing application, to prepare a mission and I discovered the assocation's diversity projects and themes richness.

This internship was a part of the research named Coast (COAstal heritage and SusTainable development). The aim was to explore the links between heritage production and sustainable tourism innovation. Two sites were studied: The Giant's Causeway in Northern Ireland and the danish part of the Wadden Sea. Those two sites are World Heritage Listed Sites because of their natural heritage. Semi-guiding interviews, questionnaires and GPS tracking were carried out during 3 weeks on each of both sites in order to analyse the management, the visitor's heritage perception and their movements. Once the interviews written and the data analysed, I wrote an article with the cooperation of the team researchers. The problem raises by this article was: "What are the visitor’s perceptions of the sites and about heritage and what do they think about heritage management?". This paper will be submit to Tourism Geographies journal for publication.

Tours Area, France

It was a research project that I had to carry out during this final year. The chosen site is The Loire Valley between Sully-sur-Loire and Chalonnes which is an UNESCO site since 2000. It is a cultural landscape listed for its natural and cultural features.The research question was "why does UNESCO need management plans and what are the main issues of those management plans?" More precisely the main issues of the Loire Valley management plan. The objective was to answer this question thanks to the literature and thanks to interviews.

It was a group internship during 3 months (4 students). The objective was to offer a landscape plan for a projet in Civaux Town hall in France. The mayor wanted to improve the aspect of a 17 hectares area and propose different activities. It was an outstanding opportunity to learn how to work within a group, as well as by myself. That internship gave me the opportunity to have lots of responsibilities as we had a 5 million euros budget to set up a project.

It was an indivudal project that I had to carry out during the 2nd semester of my 1st year of engineering school. The objective was to do a territorial appraisal and propose some planning ideas to settle the observed issues. In this project, I have proposed to create a bathing area monitored to permit people to safely take advantage of the lake. Moreover, I have suggested to install some equipments to protect and increase biodiversity.
