I was honored to support the University of California, Berkeley as head of development for BAMPFA for four years, working in partnership with the museum's director, Julie Rodrigues Widholm, and the entire BAMPFA community.

As a consultant at GG+A, a leading global philanthropic management firm, I provided strategic counsel and consulting services to academic and cultural institutions including the J. Paul Getty Trust, SFMOMA, Los Angeles Master Chorale, and the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. GG+A supports sustained fundraising growth at client organizations around the world through program evaluation, campaign planning, strategic communications, executive coaching, board development, and gift officer training.

Greater Los Angeles Area

As Chief Advancement Officer for the Hammer Museum, I led an outstanding team responsible for Development, Membership, Events, and Visitor Experience and directed all aspects of the Hammer's $180 million capital campaign. Launched publicly in February 2018, the campaign will underwrite a comprehensive transformation of the Hammer's facility and a major expansion of its endowment.

San Francisco Bay Area

Located in the heart of San Francisco's Civic Center, the Asian Art Museum houses a world-class collection and serves as a vibrant hub for contemporary culture. In partnership with the Asian's director, board chair, chief philanthropy officer, and campaign committee, I worked to design and launch a $100M+ fundraising effort to support a new $25M special exhibition pavilion, an expanded endowment, and a major investment in new programs and staff.

Greater Chicago Area

I served for four years as the University of Chicago's first campaign manager and development director for the UChicago Arts Initiative, which included a broad mandate to work with fundraisers across the university to maximize philanthropic support for the arts. The success of these efforts helped us to launch the Richard and Mary L. Gray Center for Arts and Inquiry in 2011, the Reva and David Logan Center for the Arts in 2012, and the Arts Incubator in Washington Park in 2013.

Greater Chicago Area

Prior to leading the UChicago Arts development effort, I worked for five years at the Smart Museum of Art, where I secured several of the largest gifts and grants in the museum’s history. In two years as head of the Smart’s development office, we increased baseline funding by over 50%, realized significant budget surpluses each year, and secured lead funding for the following two year’s worth of major exhibitions.
