I love the challenge and pressure of finding solutions to supplier based quality issues without impacting manufacturing schedules or the quality and safety of our renewable energy products. I get to be a detective as I work to determine the root cause of issues that arise every day. Some of my tasks include:1. Work cross-functionally to find solutions to problems that impact production and product delivery dates. 2. Investigate and summarize failure modes to determine if a problem's root cause is due to internal or external errors and propose multiple solutions amongst production and engineering teams.3. Work with suppliers to address and measure their corrective and preventive actions to prevent vendor related issues. Negotiate rework and deviation options to ensure delivery of conforming material.4. Work with Plug teams to investigate and address supplier related issues at Plug's customer sites and manufacturing facilities. Work with multiple stakeholders to propose changes to processes that boost efficiency.5. Assess supplier documentation and dimensionally inspect supplied parts to ensure delivered items meet our drawings, 3D models and testing requirements.
