From Marine to serial entrepreneur, I’ve always been the kind of person who moves fast and embraces challenges head-on.Right after high school, I chased my childhood dream of becoming an actor and moved to New York City. I spent a few years in Manhattan, making strides toward that goal. But on the morning of September 11th, 2001, everything changed. Witnessing the fall of the World Trade Center firsthand, I felt a deep calling to serve. That day inspired me to put my ambitions on hold and enlist in the United States Marine Corps.I served for six years in the Marine Corps Infantry, including combat tours in Iraq and Afghanistan, where I was decorated for valor. After my honorable discharge in 2008, I returned home and started over. I used the GI Bill to pursue a degree in Business Administration, which was where my entrepreneurial journey really began.While still in college, I started a DJ and mobile entertainment company, Island Sound (now iSound Entertainment). That led to opening a food truck, which launched me into the restaurant industry. Over the years, I’ve opened several other restaurants and businesses, both independent and national franchises—many of which I still own today.In 2022, drawing from my years of experience as an employer, I began developing GAGE, a mobile app and platform designed to revolutionize the workforce. GAGE is the first Universal Employment Record and Recognition platform, built specifically for the shift and hourly workforce. It’s a project that’s very close to my heart and one I believe will truly shake up the industry for good.
