With fellow co-founders, designed and built from the ground up a new type of online, web-based role playing game that provided players with the opportunity to play a deep role playing experience with their friends while not requiring them to schedule a specific time or place they had to meet to be able to play together. Software was built using Ruby on Rails on top of Heroku's cloud-based architecture with a thick JavaScript layer. Architecture was designed to support mobile and tablet browsers as well as the traditional desktop browsers. • Involved in multiple full life-cycle projects for the company, including the company's flagship product, Conclave, and a host of tools to support Conclave development.• Built smaller projects on a host of environments, including Google Wave, Google Plus, and Amazon Web Services.• As acting bookkeeper for 10x10 Room, the bottom line for the company always played a big part of any development decision.• Spearheaded several third party integration evaluations and involved in several talent search efforts for the company.

Brought on to lead development of the JavaScript front-end for the new Rapid7 UserInsight product. Collaborated with the rest of the UI and back-end team to build the JavaScript layer as a single-page webapp running on top of Backbone.js architecture complemented by AJAX REST APIs on the back-end. Built the product from the ground up, through a major rewrite as the product was significantly redesigned, and out to production.Once the product was in production, shifted to management role to ensure successful deployment of the product to early customers. Became primary customer-facing contact for setup and training of the toolset, as well as early liaison for customer feedback to the engineering team. Managed internal training of the product to the wider Rapid7 setup and support teams. Led planning for maturation of the product within the organization, regularly engaged in cross-team meetings on product strategy. • Worked alongside a fantastic team of engineers to build a single page webapp from the ground up and get it deployed into production.• Acted as technical lead for rolling out the product into beta and early customer environments.
