I was in a number of roles while working as a contractor at its IT operations facility in Blue Ash. Working directly with Human Resources personnel, I investigated and resolved data issues in their Oracle database. I did the same work in DB2 data clearinghouse and data warehouse databases. Reporting and ETL processes for these databases were automated by creation of Korn-shell scripts which I unit and integration tested. While employed as a Database Administrator, I had the opportunity to work with many relational database systems including Oracle, MySQL, Sybase and PostreSQL. Performed requirements gathering and testing for all related enhancements, interacting and coordinating with a wide variety of users across many departments within corporate office and also personnel at individual stores and distribution facilities. I also assisted these users with researching and resolving data and reporting issues, which sometimes resulted in the creation of new database structures such as materialized views or additional indexes.
