I believe in leaving my ego at the door so that I can learn from mistakes and be adaptable in dynamic environments.As a Magna Cum Laude graduate, I have proven to excel in my IT studies and be a continuous learner. At my time at the University of Texas at Dallas my studies covered many fields such as Cybersecurity Governance, Network and Information Security, Data Analysis, and Database Management. Additionally, I also studied many important business processes like Finance, Marketing, and Communication to better understand how Information Technology can be utilized to enhance every aspect of business.My work at DXC Technology gave me hands on experience in Data Analysis, Project Management, Product Research, and working with upper management to interface IT with several different departments and business requirements. I helped develop a data template that was used to gather data from business centers around the globe, allowing leadership to have important information for decision making. Additionally, I also worked with upper management to help in a Project Management capacity, assisting in organizing meetings and documents in the Product Life-cycle Management of a new offering. When I worked at the McKinney Public Library where I was able to gain valuable customer service experience assisting patrons as well as my first steps in Data Analysis observing inconsistencies with lost items to locate them. What Cybersecurity Governance means to me personally is an opportunity to do the right thing. Using tools like IT Auditing, Quality Control/Assurance, Risk Management and more to protect assets like personal data is something I feel passionate about. It provides an ever-changing landscape where I can continuously learn and grow.
