Both grew to multi-billion dollar companies. Played a key rolls in both engineering and product strategy.-An obsession with making software that solves real problems for customers.-Software development, Since I first put my hands on a TI85 graphing calculator with Basic, I've been obsessed with coding.-Building large scale system: I built MerchantOS from scratch to a tool that was used by over 2,000 retailers processing a billion dollars per year in sales. In 2013 MerchantOS was successfully acquired by LightSpeed Retail, an Accel Venture-backed leader in Retail Software.-Architecting and managing software at scale. I ran the team that built Lightspeed Retail, the industry-leading point of sale for small to mid-sized retailers in the US and Canada. During my tenure, the platform grew to serve many thousands more retailers and billions more in annual payment processing. That technology is the backbone of Lightspeed’s retail engine ($10B+ market cap).At Looker, I led our industry-specific analytic apps. These apps drove the adoption of Looker and were called out in the sale of Looker to Google ($3B).-Leading expert in inventory-centric software for small retail.-In-depth knowledge of Cloud technologies including AWS (EC2, SQS, SNS, DynamoDB, S3), Linux, MySQL (at scale), PHP (at scale), Memcache, React, Python, and more.-Delivered a large scale analytics platform using Looker + Snowflake.-Building teams that love to come to work.
