Provideonline and digital support for programs across Teen Health MS pillars: Healthy Youth, Caring Adults,and Advocacy and Systems Change. Oversees the successful implementation of digital training programs on aweb-based platform.

Support the development, implementation, and evaluation of the Mississippi Youth Innovation Incubator Program (MYInnovation), which is a 3-year program that will bring together youth living with HIV or at risk of HIV (YLWH) as subject matter experts to develop innovative solutions to enhance networks for YLWH, provide linkages and engagement strategies to promote wellness and access to resources, reduce stigma, and provide advocacy skills needed to support YLWH. The purpose of the MYInnovation program is to improve YLWH’s access to and experiences in health and community spaces by placing them in the driver’s seat of creation, implementation, dissemination, and evaluation of projects that impact the lives of YLWH.

Established by the Pike County Board of Supervisors, the purpose of the Commission is to 1) Advise and assist the Pike County Board of Supervisors in matters relating to crime prevention, law enforcement, and public safety; 2) Promote community engagement and cooperation in crime prevention efforts; and 3) Review and recommend policies, strategies, and initiatives to effectively address crime in Pike County.

The Board of Commissioners recognizes its responsibilities and liabilities as a legally constituted entity to oversee job training programs and a comprehensive workforce system within the SMW local area. In order ot help create this system, the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act requires the establishment of a local workforce development board. The Board of Commissioners has appointed a Local Workforce Development Board that is made up of professionals from private businesses, organized labor, education, economic development, community-based and other organizations. The Board desires to fully utilize the expertise and experience of these individuals in order to make the greatest economic development impact for this region. Consequently, the Board of Commissioners delegates to the Local Workforce Development Board (L WDB) the authority ot develop hte local plan and budget and any subsequent modifications. Upon approval of the local plan and/or modifications by the Board of Commissioners, the LWDB wil be empowered ot implement the plan according ot the Act, the Governor's instructions and any guidance that may emanate from the Board of Commissioners.

The Board’s primary duties include: adopting an annual budget, setting the County Tax Levy, setting policies, goals, and objectives to direct the County’s growth and development, adopting and providing for ordinances, rules, and regulations as necessary for the County, as well as overseeing the maintenance of all the County’s roads and bridges. The Pike County Board of Supervisors is committed to continuing the improvement in the quality of life for all the County’s residents.

McComb Main Street Association’s (MMSA) goal is to be a leader in the revitalization of Downtown McComb and improve the quality of life for all the citizens and businesses in McComb and Pike County. We realize that Downtown is the heart of the City and was for many years the center of commerce for all of Pike County. One of our greatest assets are human ones; if you take an inventory of the people from McComb or with ties to McComb who have excelled in various forms of the arts, you would learn that we have an exceptionally high percentage per capita. We should be able to use the arts to aid us in the revitalization of McComb and surrounding area.

Oversight of the day-to-day operations of the Youth Engagement Network (YEN), to include managing the Innovation Teams who are developing, testing, refining and disseminating innovative youth engagement strategies for sexual health promotion; providing technical assistance to subgrantees on innovation development, testing, refinement; supporting evaluation activities; and working closely with the Network Learning and Engagement Specialist to coordinate and support the network.

Participated in the Mississippi INBRE Service Scholars program that consists of a 10-week summer intensive training program designed to attract, train, and mentor undergraduate students to pursue biomedical careers. Learned to enhance the health and well being of minorities through leadership, collaboration, and partnerships in public and community health practices. Throughout the summer, I increased my knowledge and awareness of the connection between biomedical research and public health practices.
