TESAT Government delivers optical communications hardware and services to U.S. Government and defense industry customers. Leveraging the extensive TESAT heritage in photonics, TESAT Gov provides U.S. engineering and manufacturing capability to deliver Optical Communications Terminals across aircraft, LEO, MEO and GEO domains.

Led the analysis to determine the viability, approach and market demand for a U.S. based optical communications business. This effort culminated in the establishment of TESAT Government organization.

Headed laser communications strategy, development, and execution. Responsible for business growth and successful execution of customer programs. Developing optical terminals provide high data rate services to customers at all orbits.

Led efforts for the U.S. market entry strategy for space based optical (laser) communications services. Developed the business case and negotiations for a $50M partnership investment. Provided strategic direction for the channel partner program for satellite bandwidth sales. Constructed and executed successful campaign plans to include building customer relationships, market analysis, response to RFIs and RFPs, price to win, and customer negotiations for a variety of satellite hardware and services. Established strong relationships with all branches of the DOD and Federal Government.

Senior business development leader focused on High Throughput Satellite services and hardware, as well as protected communications sales. Capture lead and account manager for a $40M+ Air Force program from RFI/RFP through contract execution. Developed proposals and led negotiations which resulted in the company securing external development funding, government IDIQ contracts, hardware and service sales. Supervised multiple programs with the Intelligence Community serving as the key interface.

Envisioned and delivered new strategic research and development programs. Led the successful execution of several multimillion-dollar software, and combined hardware and software development programs. Communicated comprehensive program results and analysis to senior management, including profitability, cost structure, earned value, and market forecasts. Directed and developed more than 40 engineering and support personnel.

Supervised system test and implemented product improvements for a $6 million development effort. Developed acceptance test procedures and supervised product testing resulting in product certification by the National Security Agency. Conducted integration of first airborne terminal flying on DOD customer aircraft.

The senior leader in an organization of more than 400 personnel. Planned and supervised the execution of more than 500 Company-level operations. Facilitated strategic negotiations to enhance regional security, reducing risk by 95%. Completed three successful combat deployments. Awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, and Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal with Combat Distinguishing Device.
