Good knowledge of passive diode (ring) mixers and their use in systems.System design (heterodyne receivers) including spur charts, noise figure (NF), TOI/IP3, gain budgeting, and frequency planning. Extensive characterization of mixer spurious responses and assessment of their impact on receiver performance. Experience using AWR Visual System Simulator (VSS) to analyze the relationship between traditional metrics such as IP3, NF, and spurious free dynamic range (SFDR) and digital modulation metrics such as error vector magnitude (EVM) and ACLR.Expertise in EM field solvers including CST Microwave Studio, AXIEM, EMSight, and Sonnet. Skilled with Microwave Office non-linear analysis (harmonic balance, H-SPICE, APLAC transient analysis) and layout. Extensive experience in integrating linear, non-linear, and electromagnetic simulations for complete circuit simulation.Expertise in High-frequency PCB design including EM modeling of transmission line transitions and use of Modelithics libraries for accurate high-frequency designs. Familiar with many transmission lines such as microstrip, stripline, slotline, co-planar waveguide (CPW), and co-planar strips (CPS), Skilled use of test equipment for measurements such as 2-tone IP3, S-parameters, and noise figure. Knowledge of network analysis calibration techniques such as SOLT and TRL.Python (NumPy, Pandas, xarray) for data analysis and presentation.
