During my part-time role as a Veterinary Assistant, I had the opportunity to work closely with a team of dedicated veterinary professionals and assist in providing exceptional care to animals. I completed tasks such as vaccinating the pets, expressing anal glands, and collecting urine and blood samples. I also helped clean the office as well as checking up on the animals throughout the day. I was educated by my superiors about veterinary medicine and even got familiar with a few as they were used often. Other than medicine I also learned valuable skills such as interpersonal communication with clients.
