Regional Director Of Revenue Management
Report directly to the Senior Vice President of Sales & Revenue Management. Work alongside the Regional Vice President of Operations and Regional Director of Sales to ensure superior performance in revenue generation, asset management, channel management, profitability and guest satisfaction for our management company and varying ownership groups. Assist in pre-acquisition and full transition process of newly acquired hotels into the Davidson Hotels & Resorts portfolio. Recruit, hire, train and mentor all Directors of Revenue in my designated region. Develop and implement strategic operating plans customized for an individual properties future success. Generate e-commerce and online marketing initiatives targeting low compression and need periods. Develop new or enhanced reporting that allows the property teams to make better decisions and/or become more efficient in their job function. Provide guidance on strategy and performance with follow up on designated action plans. Manage relationships with over a dozen separate ownership groups that includes both private equity partners and publicly traded REIT’s.Through my experience as Regional Director of Revenue Management, I have worked with all major hotel brand and a number of independent distribution systems. During this time, we have improved RevPAR index penetration, a key metric in our field of work, versus our competitive set for seven consecutive years. My current portfolio consists of 17 properties, stretching from Chicago to Hawaii with the highest concentration in California.

Responsibilities included direct oversite of the Hilton La Jolla Torrey Pines & Embassy Suites Downtown San Diego Bay revenue management strategies as well as office support for an additional three properties in our revenue management/sales cluster. Included in the sales/revenue management complex of hotels includes the Hilton San Diego Bayfront, Hilton La Jolla Torrey Pines, DoubleTree by Hilton Mission Valley, Embassy Suites Downtown San Diego Bay and the Embassy Suites San Diego La Jolla. Previous management also included the DoubleTree San Diego Golf Resort.Primary support role includes providing feedback and communication with upper hotel management, the Area Director of Sales & Marketing and Hilton coporate leadership in addition to ensuring all hotels remain focused on their commercial action plans by identifying need periods and developing strategies to achieve our overall revenue goals. There are five key metrics by which we measure our effectiveness. They include RevPAR, RevPAR Index, Forecast Accuracy, Sellout Efficiency and Transient Rate Efficiency.
Director Of Revenue Management
Led revenue management and repositioning efforts at the Hilton San Diego Resort & Spa. Successfully repositioned the resort from #4 of 6 hotels in 2006 to #1 for three consecutive years beginning in 2009. Worked directly with the group and leisure sales team to determine pricing, flow and contribution of all groups and contracts. Implemented leisure marketing strategies to fill need periods via online marketing, PPC campaigns, email marketing and 3rd party referral sites. Researched and pitched the development of a vanity website to our ownership group which will ultimately drive significantly more organic search traffic to the resort. The vanity website launched in July 2011. Successfully received approval from ownership and developed an onsite reservations call center to handle approximately 75% of the resort’s reservation call volume, subsequently improving call conversion consistently by 7-8 points and ADR by an average of $10 versus the overflow call center.
