Merow received his two undergraduate BS Degrees in Management and Marketing from Metro State University with intent to start a company that would identify with current struggles of youth in America and provide a guiding light for positive development. Along with being blessed to be a father to his own children, Merow is a visual artist, an emcee, a poetry writer, and has specialized in nonprofit recruitment, youth mentoring, grant-writing and business development.Hear his music at: www.reverbnation.com/jsmileyCommunity Development -+ As volunteer coordinator for Denver based nonprofit organization, African Sustainable Development Foundation (ASDF) to assist with recruiting, organizing and working with the volunteer base of the organization. I worked in conjunction with the development director to identify the volunteer needs of the organization at this phase (2015).+ As the communications director for local nonprofit organization, A New Dimension of Hope (NDH), I assisted to on-board the executive team and assisted in marketing and promotion for their initial fundraising event (gaining over $9,000) to help fund a school to be built in Liberia (2014).+ As a member of the board of directors for nonprofit organization CityWild, I assisted in the areas of marketing, promotions and fundraising (2008-2009).+ As an alumn of Boys Hope Girls Hope of Colorado, I participated in events with young scholars of the ongoing programs and various social gatherings. Continued involvement in public relations projects, including a Colorado & Company interview on 9News, a performance at a fundraiser (2008), and as a participant in two fundraising marathons "Marathon for Hope" (Washington D.C. in 2006 and Denver Marathon in 2007).
