A passionate writer, reporter, and storyteller, I have dedicated my life to honing and mastering my craft. I’ve done it all - working in mainstream newsrooms, starting and building my own projects with little to no resources, covering events big and small, in America and beyond. From Capitol Hill to strongman competitions, interviewing household names to people with incredible stories whose names no one would otherwise know, my goal has always been to expose my readers to the emotions of the human experience they might never see for themselves. This has led me down the path of entrepreneurship on more than one occasion. In college, it was The Left Bench, a reaction to the student newspaper’s rejection, which sprouted from three dudes in a freshman dorm lounge into more than 70 employees by our graduation. Then, it was Nothing But Nylon, a basketball media outlet aimed to focusing on the areas of the game often overlooked in the mainstream, which was later sold in a larger deal for nearly seven figures. Add in my e-commerce experience via the co-founding of The Popular Flamingo and a robust freelance career, and my self-starting and self-motivating ways are further on display. There is nothing that makes me feel more free, more empowered, and more at peace than writing and storytelling. The aliveness I feel while in the midst of a deep, emotional interview, the high that presides with parsing the perfect paragraph, the satisfaction of communicating something important for someone who doesn’t possess the same strength to put it into words – I was born to do this, and I live to grow.
