About Justin Fisher

A strategic licensing professional with over 10 years of experience in the retail industry. At Fabrique Innovations, I oversee Licensing, Strategic Operations and Sales, for over 10 licenses across 5 categories with 5,000+ SKUs. I focus on the sports and entertainment sectors, elevating brands and retailer initiatives to new heights. Starting my career at Fortune 500 companies in Planning and Buying, I have a strong sense of category-building strategies and the consumer buying mindset. As a buyer for the sports licensing department at Bed Bath and Beyond, I led a cross-functional team to transform a small seasonal department into an award-winning market leader. Our program centered on differentiated product strategies and corporate data analysis. Prior to that, I held roles of increasing responsibility at the company and at other retailers including Ross Stores and Macy's. My father always said that I would never get anything out of reading the sports section as a kid. Well, my passion has proven him wrong!

As a buyer for sports licensed merchandise at Bed Bath and Beyond my role was to create a first in class differentiated assortment that focused on the strengths of the company. In my 3 years in the role we transformed the department into an award winning market leader. In my final year in the position I created a fan shop that was trademarked as Fan Quarters. Bringing together the sports licencors, marketing, e-commerce, planning, and visual teams to complete a state of the art shopping experience for the fan.To gain awareness we partnered with ESPN fantasy sports analyst Matthew Berry on his Fantasy Football draft Kit line. We received great exposure on the Fantasy Focus podcast and via social media on his Instagram and Twitter. In 2016 we were awarded the 2016 Retailer of the year at the NFL Summit. This stemmed from driving the NFL initiative of Homegating (catering to the at home fan watching experience) and building our web business from 5-10M in one year. The growth on the web was attributed to a combined effort of vendor sku onboarding (over 20,000 SKUs), funding promotions, speed to market and the creation of an assortment extension book for all stores containing additional higher priced NFL merchandise for all 32 NFL teams not available in store.
