Leveraged Finance, Direct Lending, Debt Capital Markets Advisory, RestructuringThe Capital Markets Advisory team sits within the Strategic Advisory group. The Capital Markets team originates, advises upon, structures, negotiates and executes private and public capital transactions across sectors and across the capital structure. The team manages relationships with a broad range of investors including venture capital and growth equity funds, private equity funds, pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, family offices, direct lenders, special situations groups, liquid credit strategies and public-style funds.

Part of the Leveraged Finance Origination and Restructuring (LFO&R) team in New York. LFO&R is an investment banking product group responsible for originating, structuring and executing leveraged, financings, including high yield bonds and leveraged loans, for non-investment grade clients. LFO&R works closely with Credit Suisse’s investment banking industry groups in their origination and execution efforts, as well as with leveraged finance capital markets (high yield and loans) and liability management in structuring transactions. LFO&R also originates and executes select restructuring advisory engagements and provides capital structure and advisory services in distressed M&A situations.Responsibilities include:• Working with senior coverage officers to develop innovative solutions for client companies • Building complex models that help companies understand how they are valued by the market• Following an industry to learn the key drivers and trends that influence companies’ decisions• Helping management teams craft the storyline• Traveling with clients on road shows and with senior bankers on site visits

•Structure, advise and executes bank loan and high yield bond financings for corporate clients and financial sponsors, including LBOs, refinancing, M&A transactions and restructurings •Serve as an intermediary between the debt capital markets and issuing clients

•Provide leading financial services capabilities for global corporate and institutional clients•Work with non-investment grade clients to structure leveraged transactions, including leveraged buyouts, dividend recapitalizations and acquisition financing

•Work with clients to provide non-investment grade financing options including leveraged buyouts, dividend recapitalizations and acquisition financing•Manage a portfolio of broadly syndicated leveraged loans and prepare credit reports to enable management to adjust the portfolio to market and economic conditions•Build financial models based on information in 10-Ks, 10-Qs, and management presentations in order to estimate probability of default, loss given default, and return on capital•Monitor the leveraged loan market pricing and structure, for use in client marketing

•Monitored daily currency fluctuations and updated proprietary Excel models to assist management in preparation of financial statements
