I recently opened a brewery in downtown Monroe, NC with a few partners. Americana Beer Co. is focused on brewing approachable beers that offer something for every palate. We opened July 22, 2022 and are overwhelmed by the incredible support from the community. We look forward to continuing our work as a catalyst for the revitalization of the downtown Monroe area.

I worked as an independent graphic artist under the name “Justin Moore Designs” 2003-2007, re-branded under the name "Sublmnl Design" in January 2006 and incorporated the business in 2010 as the company's capabilities have expanded. Working under the Sublmnl Design banner has given me the opportunity to work closely with many different clients in many different fields. Building a brand from the ground up, overhauling a client's existing identity, building websites, advertising, photography, copywriting, social media... you name it, I've been lucky enough to do it for many great clients.A few of the great organizations that I have had the opportunity to work with are: The University of North Carolina at Charlotte, Caldwell County, Paralyzed Veterans of America, OneRepublic (national recording artists), Hendrick Automotive Group, AAA Carolinas, The Olde Mecklenburg Brewery, Compass Group International Inc., and Richard Petty Enterprises.

As a member of the AIGA Charlotte Board of Directors, it was my role to promote overall design industry education to the Charlotte creative community, as well as, promote and support design education through various local design schools, educators and student groups.

In this position I oversaw the execution and production of all advertising and public relations materials for an international motorsports sanctioning organization. My duties included overseeing creative direction, execution and delivery of print/web/video assets for numerous motorsports events and series’ taking place throughout the United States and Canada.

In this position I worked in an in-house marketing department developing cross-platform branding campaigns. My duties included development of advertising campaign concepts; design, and production of the AAA member magazine, "Go" magazine, which is the largest-circulation publication in the Carolinas, with a bi-monthly readership of 1.6 million, and worked with many outside sponsors such as Target, Disney, and Hertz to develop co-branded campaigns that follow their brand standards as well as strengthening the AAA brand. In this position I was able to attain experience developing campaigns for the automotive repair, insurance and travel industries.

In this position I oversaw creative direction, marketing strategies, and production of all artwork for the University of North Carolina at Charlotte’s Auxiliary Services Department, which included advertising all auxiliary services branches as well as servicing as an in-house design studio for the university. During my time there student awareness of programs and events increased which, in turn, increased revenues for many of the University’s departments.
