As a graduate student intern in the San Bernardino County Department of Behavioral Health in their Office of Cultural Competency and Ethnic Services, I provided consult and support for their various interventions and community wide programs. • Edited and evaluated behavioral health training modules for Community Health Workers Countywide.• Reviewed and revised Community Health Worker Program flip charts used to educate the community at large.• Created a “Behavioral Health Awareness” module and presentation for High Schoolers.• Assisted and participated in program monitoring and conducted annual program reviews for various organizations that DBH funds. • As part of my master’s program capstone project, created a Cultural Competency Monitoring and Evaluating compliance model for DBH.

Guinayangan, Philippines

As part of the Global Health Masters in Public Health 2018 Cohort. I was part of a research team that conducted research in the rural villages of Guinayangan studying maternal and child health, and breast feeding habits and education for women and children under two years old. • Project title “Nourishing infants, Nourishing the Community: An Assessment of Infant and Young Child Feeding Practices in Guinayangan”• Qualitative Data Specialist• Collaborated with the International Institute of Rural Reconstruction (IIRR) to study Maternal and Child Nutrition• Performed a mixed methods assessment of Mothers and Children (0-24 months), with the Guinayangang LLU Global Health Team.• Presented research results and an assessment report to the local barangay (town) officials and representatives.• Presented a final research paper and presentation to IIRR.

Loma Linda, Ca

• Evaluated an intervention targeting the William McKinley Elementary School called ThinkTogether, and their process of conducting a needs assessment of the local community to design an afterschool nutritional program for kids. • Conducted Evaluation surveys of the researchers.• Sat in and evaluated meetings with their Preceptors.• Submitted a final evaluation paper and presentation, to the organization and researchers.
