I have hands-on involvement in scaling a startup, working my way through the SDR, Team Leader, Team Manager, and Director roles in a remotely working team that grew from 10 to 150 over the course of 2 years. I have authored extensive scalable standard operating procedures, ran ample sales development training, conducted 100+ SDR/TL/TM interviews, and am a constant student of the craft. This role required me to do significant market research into b2b specific affiliate practices before operationalizing the mechanisms required to make the program work. Although we ran everything through the ReferralRock platform, copywriting was essential at almost every stage. Each end-user action typically had an outbound message associated and the web pages had to be branded. The member sign-up approach was no different from outbound business development. Outside of building the operations for the program, I also created a system of outreach similar to that of a regular outbound sales process. I would contact individuals through an email/phone/text sequence, conduct a demo, and then have them agree to apply to the program. From there I would qualify the individual and then move on to onboarding. I also created an affiliate marketing playbook that was distributed to all new members explaining more about the program along with additional marketing and copy material. The program was launched and running successfully. -
