Originally set up in 2010 in Brighton, myminidisco is a bespoke dance party for kids & their parents, aimed at 0 - 8 yr olds. Based in Brighton myminidisco have wowed the little ones at Dorset’s family friendly Camp Bestival; Wilderness festival in Oxfordshire; LolliBop in London’s Hyde park; Shindig weekender as well as Brighton’s Funk The Family, Love Supreme, Paddle Around the Pier, the Little Monster Bash and part of the Brighton Fringe Festival for the past 9 years. They have also taken their winning formula to Europe and thrown parties in the French Alps. Myminidisco are residents at Brighton’s Komedia. The trademark super sized ghetto blaster dj booth plays cool and accessible music, bootlegs of funk, disco and hip hop classics as well as re-workings of familiar soundtracks from their favourite films, not just mainstream pop. Camden, London

In the mid 90’s I set up the award winning record shop Vinyl Addiction in Camden town, located in the basement of Bar Vinyl in Inverness street. The concept was a combined DJ bar café and record store. Alongside the Dogstar in Brixton, was the first of its kind in the UK to have DJs in bars! A genius concept where you could buy tunes, drink beer and meet like minded folk. In 2000 alongside business partner Abel Reynolds we took control of the bar and created the Vinyl Group which had a significant role in shaping culture around dance music. We also set up VA recordings which went on to sell in excess of 100,000 12"s, including licensing releases which went on to have national chart success.
