Entrepreneur, producer, DJ, promoter, bar operator, yoga lover and radio presenter - I set up The Bug Club (formally The Bug Bar) in 2013 following a change from my career in the music industry. The idea was conceived through a long love affair of camper vans, festivals, great music and first class drinks. The Bug Club, is a ‘pop up’ events company based in Brighton. We have a fleet of VW style trailers that have been converted into bars and DJ booths. We specialise in delivering brand activations, mini festivals, and DJ services. Since 2013 we have delivered over 750 events and have worked with brands including Amazon, EA Games through to Little Mix and FatBoySlim as well as being featured at most major festivals such as Glastonbury, Wilderness, Secret Garden, Latitude, Bestival and many others. Our mission is to bring "that festival feeling" to any brand activation, event or party. Our most popular Discobug is "literally a mobile disco on wheels. Unique, one of kind!" - a specially customised VW camper DJ booth, fully kitted out with the very best in sonic sound, a hydraulic lifting roof, mirror balls, lasers and state of the art LED lights. My Background - In the mid 90's I set up Vinyl Addiction record shop below Bar Vinyl in Camden, a combined bar record shop concept, alongside London’s Dogstar in Brixton we were the first bars to put DJs into bars! look at it now. Whilst running Bar Vinyl/Vinyl Addiction I co founded Finger Lickin’ Records, which went on to sell almost a million records for artists like Plump DJs, Krafty Kuts, A Skillz, as well as our own productions as Soul of Man, as a DJ I was lucky enough to tour the world over a 25 year period. In 2010 i set up myminidisco, “cool music for cool kids” where we do regular events in the winter at Brighton's Komedia as well as being part of the Brighton Fringe Festival. Since 2017 I have been hosting a weekly radio show "Positive Vibrations" on local Brighton radio station 1BTN FM.
