Helping customers get into or out of Office365.Assisted a customer migrate a group of users from Office365 to on-prem Exchange with custom-scripts to create linked-mailboxes, updating a third AD forest to switch distribution lists to contacts (so updates only occur in one place), syncing Public Folder data from a separate Exchange environment.Advised on additional hardware requirements, managed migrations from start to finish.--Created PowerShell scripts and multi-threaded application to test/verify pre-requisites for OneDrive For Business installation on corporate machines moving MyDocs from file servers and locally-stored. Application synced Offline Files (in the file server case), and updated file/folder names to match requirements for OneDrive, including shortening paths by unfolding folders. See sample screen caps.--Merged and migrated an existing Exchange 2010 environment to an existing Office365 tenant without DirSync (in use by another disconnected forest). Created scripts to effectively synchronize directories, matching to existing contacts/cloud users from multiple tenants, recreating group memberships, all preserving replyability across migrations. Manually synced Public Folders, scripting the "movement" of mail-enabledness.Handled GPO changes, transport rule updates, MX/SPF cutovers, Exchange and anti-spam server decommissioning.

Several projects including migrations to Office365.- From Exchange 2010, Lync 2010 with PingFederate as the SAML provider. This project also included adding Exchange 2010 Edge servers to connect with O365.- From Exchange 2010, Lync 2010 through Exchange 2013 Hybrid with ADFS 2012 R2. This project also included work with AirWatch.- From Exchange 2010 to Exchange 2013 and Office365 using ADFS 2012 R2. This project also includes migration to a new AD forest using FIM and ADMT, while keeping ADFS providing SAML for both environments, and preserving an ImmutableID for O365.- Additional side project on migration automation/data consolidation across several systems, including AD, Exchange, SQL, Unix/Linux devices, scraping from and form submission to ProofPoint systems.

Oversight of all migration activities, including:- development of scheduling tool to interface with Domino/Active Directory/Migration engines- planning and configuration assistance for Domain Controllers, Exchange, Domino, BinaryTree co-existence- pre-migration guidance on communications, tools- migration of ~2000 Lotus Notes users (variance)- post-migration guidance on issue remediation, routing changes- coordination across 18 separate entities with a mixture of Exchange versions and Domino versions totalling over 125000 users- special case assistance for VIPs, large migration days - interfacing with various teams at all levels- rollup reporting

Helping customers (and partners to help their customers) migrate from their current messaging environment to the BPOS Messaging environment.Initially field-based on-site support, moved into primarily a development role with some remote support.Disrupted existing migration practices by:- Writing Directory Sync application on customer premise (obviating need for on-premise Exchange)- Writing orchestration software (PowerShell, LotusScript, Web services) to replicate customer Domino data onto hardware in BPOS datacenters, and automating migration from replicas using BinaryTree CMT.- Increased flexibility and reliability for customers, reduced time to revenue for BPOS.

Diagnosis, troubleshooting and debugging of complex issues related to Exchange 2007 and earlier, with particular emphasis on large-scale routing topologies and connecting heterogenous systems (e.g. Lotus Domino, GroupWise). Duties included:- Writing code fixes (C++, C#) and explanatory documentation- Working with multiple parts of an organization to create unified directories across disparate systems.- Writing public facing documentation on these topics (e.g. http://bit.ly/cD6tb4)
