I serve as the primary point of contact between Central Operations and individual fulfillment centers (FCs) throughout the North American network in this role. I monitor outbound flow of customer shipments from the picking process through to the ship dock by analyzing multiple real-time data sources. My primary mandate is to ensure inventory is moved through the FC as quickly and efficiently as possible while mitigating risk and maximizing efficiency. My role is to ensure that customer shipments are where they need to be, when they need to be, to maintain the highest levels of customer experience and care.In this role, I work directly with Senior Operations managers at FCs to develop staffing plans that align labor needs with customer demands. Pulling from multiple real-time data feeds, accounting for projected charge and risk indicators, and communicating those metrics to the appropriate site-level points of contacts to ensure adequate staffing within the FC gives high-level visibility to the operations of Amazon Robotics (AR) sortable facilities throughout the network.I have pursued credentials in project management, LEAN Six Sigma, and AWS during my time in this role, and have volunteered with Amazon’s Disaster Response Team to support the mapping of disaster-impacted areas.

Impact Amplifier is an impact investment firm that supports the growth of high impact, innovative businesses in Southern Africa by adressing the socioeconomic and environmental challenges faced in the Southern African Development Community (SADC). IA provides investment readiness and acceleration services to impact businesses, assists impact investors to source and invest in compelling opportunities, and delivers supplier development and sustainability advisory services to corporations and public institutions.As a Fellow, I helped develop the online Learning Management System (LMS) and digital community (Workplace) that supported a cohort of 63 post-revenue small, medium, and micro-sized enterprises (SMMEs) in a seven-month investment readiness accelerator called The Tech Tribe Accelerator (TTA). I developed the digital communication flows that were used throughout the TTA, served as an engagement manager on the proprietary LMS (LearnWorlds), and supported partner collaboration by contributing to steering strategy during ramp up and roll out. I also conducted field research in the form of interviews and survey distribution to collect impact assessment data used by the South African Breweries Foundation. I worked collaboratively with a multinational team of other fellows, partners, and employees of the first to support and embolden strategic partnerships with donor organizations (Google Impact Challenge, International Monetary Fund) through RFP generation.

I was selected as one of 10 graduate students from ASU to design and implement an interdisciplinary research project in accordance with USAID’s Global Development and Innovation Lab. Members were awarded research funding as part of the Global Development Research and Innovation (GDR) Fellowship.Fellowships were awarded to graduate students looking to pursue interdisciplinary research projects that strengthened research capacity and built lasting, collaborative networks as a means of promoting economic growth and community advancement in developing countries.With generous support from my host professor in the Department of Information Systems at The University of Cape Town, I worked to develop and implement a research project that explored the relationship between information communication technology (ICTs) and community resilience to climate change. I conducted research in Masiphumelele, a largely informal settlement outside of Cape Town, over six months of field work and collaboration with community partners.The goal of my research is to develop a baseline for resilience using the Resilience Assessment Benchmark and Information Toolkit (RABIT), with the intention of learning how vulnerable communities might enhance their resilience capacity in accordance with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.

My primary duty in this role was to help facilitate the transition from high school to college for domestic first-time freshmen in the Pacific Northwest and Midwest. As a territory manager, I helped develop and execute targeted recruitment strategies including high school visits, college fairs, population-specific programming and co-presentations with colleagues at other universities designed to increase enrollment from high-yield regions while using data to inform and determine future efforts. I developed a working knowledge of the primary features that distinguish qualified applicants from regions throughout the US and used this understanding to make informed decisions regarding future recruitment operations in my territories.In addition to the duties associated with my role within admissions at ASU, I also worked closely with colleagues in higher ed whose roles encompass different subsets of the larger education continuum. By fostering relationships with high school counselors, independent counselors, faculty members, administrators, and share holders within the for-profit and non-profit sectors, I consistently challenged myself to extend my understanding of higher education in the United States.My involvement with the Pacific Northwest Association for College Admissions Counselors (PNACAC) provided exposure to colleagues from different institutions and the many different ways that recruitment and enrollment are managed. My work with the Association for Regional Representative of Oregon and Washington (ARROW) provided a community of individuals in similar roles with a sounding board and outlet for professional development.

I managed a comprehensive recruitment and travel territory that included Northern California/The Bay Area and the Pacific Northwest as part of the National Recruitment team within the larger Admission Services department at the University.I met directly with students and parents from high-impact regions in this role, scheduling and executing a first-year schedule of events that included over 85 high school visits and 50 college fairs. I developed a robust understanding of recruitment standards, familiarized myself with university goals and objectives, in addition to developing an understanding of admissions practices through work with colleagues in regionally-based professional development organizations (PNACAC, WACAC, ARROW, RACC).I supported a 132% growth in enrollment deposits in my assigned territories in the Bay Area and Seattle metro, which prompted a proposal to transition my role to a regionally-based one in the Seattle area.
