CurrentFunction effectively as an HR “Department of One” with limited supervision and internal support. Assist in the recruitment process including advertisement, interviewing, selection, drafting written job offers, background checks, and orientation planning.Responsible for compliance with anti-discrimination laws; manage employee relations and investigate complaints.Draft and revise the employee handbook and other written policies.Assist with payroll and manage compliance with wage & hour laws.Manage employee leaves of absence under FMLA, CFRA, ADA, PDL, and others.Prepare paperwork, schedule, and facilitate remote new hire onboarding, coordinating with other departments to deliver an exceptional first day recruiting experienceMaintenance of employee data in systems and files. Preparation and management of personnel documentationEnsure compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulation.
