A little about me: I’m spent the last 25 year pursuing a simple formula to neatly explain how a business is doing. A simple bit of 3rd grade algebra that goes like this: rTAM^t/n * (Mcap * Scap * Pfit < Olim)^tn. The goal of this formula is to allow you to quickly look at the major functional areas of a business and immediately understand (1) its empirical valuation, (2) the bottlenecks to performance, (3) the required inputs to achieve a desired future valuation and (4) when applied at scale across a large number of other businesses, provide a detailed execution blueprint for what works. I have spent time in sales, marketing, product, operations and various leadership roles in technology companies as I have hammered away at this formula. I am now working to apply this formula to the extremely underserved market of dental practices because, good lord, is it underserved.
