The Endowment Consulting and Management Group at Indiana University is an ambitious undergraduate student run organization that is in the process of pioneering innovative endowment investment strategies. Since the early 1900’s, University endowment funds have been managed in only one of four ways. Fast-growing and forward thinking, the members of ECMG include a pool of the most dedicated undergraduate students.We have established a $50 million mock fund within our organization — in which we are implementing the major takeaways from our published research. Our mission is to challenge the status quo and revolutionize the way endowments are managed.• Conduct research through fundamental and flow analysis to select potential fixed income credit investments for the fund to evaluate• Create reports utilizing a variety of tools and systems, including Bloomberg Terminal and FactSet, for fixed income research publications• Design and develop slide decks in order to pitch fixed income assets to the fund’s executive board

• Perform relative value analysis on new issue bonds, both investment grade and high yield, determining the fair value and the fairness of the “New Issue Concession” by analyzing its comparable bonds• Built and maintained CreditFlow’s deal databases for both the High Yield and the Sovereign/Supranational/Agency market using advanced Excel tools and Bloomberg functions to aggregate and organize data with deal commentary• Update and post all-time low coupon record spreadsheets daily to provide more information about the fixed incomemarket’s performance during the busiest period in recent history• Communicate with sell-side syndicates to collect post-deal commentary for CreditFlow’s “Credit Close” newsletter
