I am currently a Security Engineer. I started my career as a Software Engineer for a consulting firm with a very fun environment. I'm currently a Security Engineer. I LOVE being an engineer! I love it so much that I do it on the side as well. I started my career at a very small, but well developed consulting firm in Dayton, Ohio. I traveled quite a bit for that role, and loved every minute of doing that type of work. While I would love to travel again, my life is in a slightly different place, so it would be nice to travel on a more limited basis. I moved to a larger consulting firm doing Software Engineering work for very large companies in Cincinnati, OH. During this time, I earned a Master's Degree in Secure Software Engineering.In 2015, I made a career change and went into Ethical Hacking. This was some of the most fun work that I've ever done. It was fast-paced and forced me to learn a number of different technology stacks. I was asked to move to the Security Engineering side of the same company about 2 years into my Ethical Hacking role. I agreed to make the move to further my knowledge in Information Security. I still love to do Ethical Hacking work within my home on my spare time, but really enjoy the engineering side of InfoSec as well.As I mentioned above, I LOVE engineering work so much that I do it in my spare time. I have developed software for non-profits and school organizations. My joy is creating hardware devices for theater groups. My largest side project was developing and building wearables for a traveling show choir.
