Growing up, any type of toy or small appliance that moved I would take apart to try and figure out how it worked. The ultimate goal was always to be able to put it back together but, my family will be the first to tell anyone that that goal was not always met. Every time I was not able to put something back together I was able to learn and use that knowledge for the next experimental disassembly. This persistent nature provided me with the ability to foresee eventual success in a project that others have given up on.This led me to pursuing and earning a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering at the University of North Florida. Without realizing it this degree was a great opportunity to learn about how the physical properties of the world actually operate. I have since begun my career in the aerospace industry. As a Manufacturing and Quality Engineer I have had the autonomy to lead and teach others. Creating several foundational processes and leading production teams has been a great learning experience. I have found being open to different temperaments, talents and convictions leads to a greater return on group morale and efficiency. As an engineer being dedicated to taking things apart and putting them back together will still always be the main objective.
