CurrentThe Westside Water Authority (WWA) is a public agency that manages four special districts: Berrenda Mesa Water District (BMWD), Belridge Water Storage District (BWSD), Lost Hills Water District (LHWD), and Dudley Ridge Water District (DRWD). Combined, these public agencies represent nearly 10% of the State Water Project and one of the largest agriculture water entities in CA.WWA also manages Westside District Water Authority (WDWA) - a Groundwater Sustainability Agency (GSA) primarily providing SGMA compliance to LHWD, BWSD, and BMWD within the Kern Subbasin - as well as Westside Water Quality Coalition (WWQC) - a non-profit dedicated to supporting ILRP compliance for all of WWA’s landowners.Example activities:• Direct and/or develop the preparation of analyses and recommendations regarding policy issues and long-range plans to address the needs of the three water districts, two joint powers authorities, water storage district and non-profit.• Organize and direct ~$150M+ in annual spend; support strategic finance and accounting problem solving as well as monthly detailed financial statement reviews• Provide strategic investment review and support for various public and private partnership opportunities ($10M - $100M+ annually)• Support water management and regulatory compliance for 60+ landowners, ~88,000+ acres of crops and ~290,000 - 730,000+ AF of annual supplies (depending on year type)• Directly manage 5 WWA staff responsible for water management, operations, regulatory and finance/accounting activities• Lead organizational development and HR policy activities for all 32 employees• Represent local, state and federal policy and regulatory items for WWA via 10+ associations
