Bowlmor AMF was created in July 2013 following the merger of Bowlmor Lanes and AMF Bowling Worldwide, the world’s largest owner and operator of bowling centers, with 264 domestic locations and 8 locations in Mexico.I worked as CIO to support company post-acquisition / merger activities including systems consolidation and replacement, process revision, software development, business intelligence, and automation of processes. My responsibilities included defining strategy, policy and architectural decisions for the technological aspects of the business, as well as managing the technology portfolio and department. Our integration efforts focused on digitizing and integrating various elements of the customer experience and corresponding systems in order to position the company for future success under its new ownership.

As the largest owner/operator of bowling centers in the world, AMF Bowling supported more than 270 different centers within the entertainment and food & beverage industries, annually hosting more than 20 million customers across North America.As Chief Information Officer, I had the privilege of working alongside the executive leadership team to help support the changing strategy of the company, emphasizing the use of technology to increase efficiency in the customer experience (marketing, sales, web, operations) and add value across the organization. During my tenure with the company we worked to navigate the bankruptcy restructuring process, culminating in record 5-year revenues and successful transition of the company to new ownership.

As Chief Information Officer, I worked along with the IT management team to understand and meet the technology needs of the students, faculty and staff at the University of Mary Washington. During my tenure I helped to improve communication within the IT division, supported the implementation of the first Board-approved IT Strategic Plan, staffed and established an IT Project Management Office, brought additional visibility through the publication of routine scorecards and metrics, helped to support strategic student-oriented initiatives and better articulated IT budgetary needs for ongoing and future infrastructure replacement.

Provided leadership and oversight for Enterprise Application Services, to include staff management, strategic direction, project management and new process definition & implementation. EAS supported the functional needs of business departments to include software development, customization and integration services, physical premises software management, IT project management, data management, systems security/access control and various levels of institutional reporting.

Provided leadership and strategy for the Applications Programming department. The department is responsible for all enterprise data and corresponding systems for the University and services the reporting and functional needs of various business departments and state/federal entities. As director I managed staffing decisions, internal process refinements, special projects, major system upgrades, new custom applications and other business needs as they relate to the data-driven University ERP platform (Banner) and corresponding systems.

Founded Framework Technologies to offer affordable, custom software utilizing Agile software development practices - focusing on the needs of small businesses and private companies with fewer than 300 employees.

Served as IT Project manager and later Agile Coach for the WWW Enhancements group within the Capital One Internet Services division. I managed the IT enhancements team responsible for the www.capitalone.com website, where we worked with various business units (Card, Auto Finance, Small Business, etc.) and external vendor partners to successfully implement dozens of new marketing campaigns, integrate new lines of business, and enhance the website as the primary customer interface for the online banking experience.

Development Lead who transitioned to Project Manager for internal software development initiatives. Led projects to include configuration management database expansion, company internal availability tracking, divisional portal, internal change management workflow enhancements.

Development consultant and lead for web-based business applications. Primary client work was onsite for SWIFT, where I later transitioned to a full-time employee role.

Application developer and project lead for web-based development projects. ASM contracts were primarily for government organizations (US Army, US Air Force) dealing with personnel management and education.
