After bringing in-house all the services historically contracted to an ad agency, Kitchen Kaboodle created an ever-changing position that has grown in scope year after year, growth that it is in lockstep with the challenges facing small business brick-and-mortar retail over the past decade. Keeping the focus on our brand, while servicing the brands of our hundreds of vendor partners, is a huge undertaking that only grows more complex as new venues for advertising and social interaction are created. Day to day operational duties have grown to include the design and production of all marketing materials and advertisements including everything from television commercials to social media content, print circular mailers to the physical signage on our stores and delivery trucks. In addition, I maintain of our 10k+ product sign database, coordinating all in-house print and digital marketing to work in concert with almost constant price changes, all across 5 locations. I developed and maintain an internal, employee-only website that serves as a hub for all company communication and order coordination. I serve as caretaker to the look and feel of our company.

Responsible for designing and executing a marketing outreach initiative seeking to grow First Alternative's customer and owner base on the Oregon State University campus through a series of on and off-site events. I sought to grow the brand further through increased presence at community conferences and industry trade shows. These efforts led to a number of partnerships and sponsorship opportunities that netted the Co-op more owners and shoppers from a sought after and fickle demographic, building on our multi-million dollar annual sales figures in a highly competitive and saturated market while working with the thinnest of margins.Day to day operational responsibilities included the design and file prep for all print and digital advertising, the planning and tracking of coupon mail circulars, serving as an intermediary between buyers and vendors for all cooperative advertising efforts, and assisting with all aspect of publishing our monthly periodical, the Co-Op Thymes.
