Worked as a senior full-stack software engineer on fast growing R&D team responsible for Taboola Newsroom, an online platform established to empower newsroom authors, editors, and supervisors with in-depth analytics, alerts, and predictions. IPO June 2021.Designed and implemented core job-running framework that allows the data team to runconfigurable query jobs in spark (with udf/transformation support). Jobs are parameterizedin python, scheduled and backpopulated in airflow, and run in cloud via Kubernetes. Outputsink in parquet, HBase, csv, etc. Current backbone of our data science pipeline.Developed Newsroom Audience from POC to production, end-to-end. Dedup/aggregatemetrics in Spark + Spark SQL, store in HBase, serve via API. Frontend dashboard built usingnew React Hooks patterns, with careful memoization and generic/pure components.
