General Manager
2 Locations. Spring,Tx And Woodlands, Tx
After applying, interviewing, and being offered an entry level position, I began to work for 1 anytime fitness location that was owned by a single owner. Over a short period of time, that owner recognized my skills and offered me a position in management. I worked directly with that owner to understand the duties of this position and quickly saw success. I was able to boost gym memberships by over 30% in 4 months and by almost 50% in 6 months. I was earning multiple bonuses quarterly. As the gym grew, this owner decided he needed to focus on his family and sold the gym to a group of owners(3.) In the purchase agreement was a clause that the new owners must keep me employed for a minimum of 3 months after they purchase. The relationship with the new owners started off well, so much so that they decided to purchase a second location and make me the GM of both locations! Unfortunately the second location did not succeed as well as the owners had hoped, so they decided that cutting out all of the bonuses/staff was the best way to balance their finances. Due to these decisions, I decided to end my employment on positive terms and allow them to run the business as they see fit.
