• Install new / rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, software, etc. in accordance with DoD standards and project/operational requirements.Knowledge of IT INFOSEC requirements, principles, concepts, practices, products and services (including systems software, storage technology, and security tools) Strong understanding of methods for evaluating risk, vulnerability, certification/accreditation, systems testing and evaluation, and performance management methods. Knowledge of Local Area Network security requirements and techniques for protecting computer systems from viruses, data tampering, and unauthorized system entry. Knowledge of Federal Law, Department of Defense (DoD) and United States Air Force information security, IT acquisition, budgetary policy and planning formulation process Knowledge of and experience with DoD Architectural Framework (DODAF), National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) Chapter 8; and DoD Directive 8500.1 and 8500.2, and application, server, management concepts, principles, security and methods sufficient to evaluate, deploy and manage secure and effective systems, and to conduct performance-testing activities to optimize processes in the evaluation and accreditation/certification of mission supporting systems development. Ability to communicate orally and in writing sufficient to fully coordinate activities with management and other IT specialists, and to provide user training and support Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines• Perform daily backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media, recovery tapes or disks are created, and media is recycled and sent off site as necessary.• Create, change, and delete user accounts per request.• Provide end user desktop and class room support and troubleshooting.
