A mechanical design engineer, blacksmith, welder and industrial fitter with 20 years experience within multiple industries in Germany, Norway, USA and Sweden. Besides a thorough understanding of all aspects of the crafts, I learned how important it is to be a team player - if you want to achieve goals, it is always easier together.In my work as a Design Engineer for example at CEVT Closures, Volvo BIW and Azelio, my practical experience proofs to be a reliable source of knowledge to fall back on - for example when choosing a material or a method or when judging the producibility of an article. This way, the knowledge gained during my years on the shop floor is a perfect complement when solving technical problems with the help of advanced surface modelling in Catia V5.During my academic education in arts and crafts at HDK Steneby I discovered playfulness and experimentation as an effective tool to advance projects. I easily adapt new working methods and I enjoy working creatively.Since 2011, I have acted as project manager for various welding and blacksmithing companies, as well as with my own commissions within architectural ironwork and public sculpture. Therefore I know how to approach tasks efficiently and I can encourage goal-oriented thinking in a team.My international experience as well as my theoretical education as a design engineer supplied me with the terminology necessary to communicate with technical co-workers. My education within metal art gives me a great freedom of choice concerning working methods and it also allows me to easily communicate about artistic and design processes with other creatives. In this way I can be a facilitator between different stakeholders in a project.
