Experienced entrepreneur with multiple exits and a retail executive career spanning Australia, HK/China and New Zealand. My passion is building and scaling tech enabled businesses, developinghigh performance teams and products. Currently advising and investing while exploring new business opportunities following returning to Australia.Established new venture business unit for The Warehouse Group (NZX:WHS) in New Zealand as CEO to build marketplace. Scaled business to 600k+ customers, 1,000+ merchants and $100m+ GMV by mid 2022 and exited equity option. Marketplace business now integrated into group business poweringthird party sales across group properties. Prior to NZ I spent 3 years in Hong Kong and Shanghai building out the technology organisation as CTO for MyMM, a JV between Wharf Holdings, Lane Crawford Joyce Group and eCargo. I was responsible for product, engineering and services and built a team from zero to 85 across 3 locations. In my time we successfully launched a comprehensive marketplace platform product and sold the technology.Before MyMM I founded system integrator and consultancy business Amblique and worked on dozens of projects for a wide range of leading retailers and brand owners including Apparel Group, Michael Hill, Westfield, Specialty Fashion Group, Retail Apparel Group, LVMH and many others. Amblique was recognised as one of Australia's top 100 fastest growing companies by BRW 3 years in a row and has won a number of awards for its clients. In 2012 STW Group, now WPP ANZ (ASX:SGN), acquired a minority stake of the business and in 2015 eCargo (ASX:ECG) acquired the entire business.In 2012 I brought the world leading SaaS based eCommerce platform Demandware to ANZ and became the local reseller for the technology that is powering many of the world's most successful retail brands online. I sat on the Demandware partner advisory board for 4 years. Demandware was acquired by Salesforce in June 2016.I have been actively involved in the retail community hosting ShopTalk, a popular ANZ retail meet-up with 700+ members and have regularly spoken at events including Online Retailer, iMedia, Path2Purchase, and Demandware XChange.
