PROOFREADINGI'm a thoroughly trained and experienced proofreader with a proven record of work for British publishers and indie authors. My non-fiction experience is especially strong, with a focus on nature writing, memoirs, pop culture and music, but I also work on various genres of fiction, i.e. literary, romance, crime and thriller. I proofread digitally and on hard copy using the BSI mark-up. COPYEDITINGI'm a qualified copyeditor with experience using both New Hart's Rules and the Chicago Manual of Style. I've worked for indie authors on fiction and memoirs. I have experience editing non-native English and detecting language transfer. I can use Word Styles to mark up a manuscript and liaise with the typesetter. I'm happy to take a proofreading/copyediting test or do a free sample proofread/copyedit. I'm also starting to learn to typeset fiction and non-fiction books in InDesign.
