Als de coördinator binnen Health Data Space Utrecht op het gebied van FAIR data management werk ik aan een onderdeel van een landelijk initiatief om een nationale gezondheidsdatacatalogus te creëren in het kader van de European Health Data Space. Mijn verantwoordelijkheden omvatten het ontwikkelen van een datamanagement framework en het aansturen van werkgroepen om zowel op lange als korte termijn effectieve FAIR-datazorg te realiseren. Dit omvat het opzetten van een centrale datacatalogus, het creëren van gedetailleerde richtlijnen voor metadata types, en het ontwikkelen en geven van trainingssessies.

As a strategic data management consultant of central data stewardship, my focus lies on development of data management frameworks in compliance with data governance and in line with Open Science and FAIR guidelines.

As a researcher, I conducted two studies in the field of autism, social touch, tacile sensitivity and the impact of social distancing among Dutch citizens during the Covid-19 pandemic. My responsibilities included developing research plans, data collection, analysis, and reporting the results in the form of publications.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, my responsibilities as a central data steward involved overseeing the FAIR data management-related overview of all COVID-19-related studies. This included drafting data management plans, metadata schemas, and filling in the eCRF on behalf of the WHO.

Implementation and development of a central data management plan for a broad data user audience: both medical personnel and engineers within Business Intelligence (BI). My focus was on establishing a Digital Competence Center (DCC), ensuring the integrity of data exchanges, and mapping the data flow. In compliance with both laws and regulations and requirements from subsidizing organizations.

In this role, I conducted research on the brains of healthy individuals. My research involved neuroimaging studies (fMRI) on visual attention in the human brain. I studied population receptive field size changes in V1-IPS by manipulating selective attention. Research involved designing an experiment compatible with ultra high field MRI imaging and using advanced data analysis techniques such as population Receptive Field models. Results were reported and presented at international conferences.

I conducted research on differences in spatial and temporal visual attention during generalised learning by manipulating cognitive load within an action videogame. Users interacted with either a low or high cognitive load version of a FPS game. Learning effects were subsequently tested with an unrelated task. Research contained developing the experimental design and statistical analysis.

My responsibilities included the implementation of research manager PURE, designing research paradigms and data analysis. Furthermore, I was involved with the user experience and effectiveness concerning an online Virtual Learning Tool for healthcare professionals, and I worked on the content development of an online platform with learning dashboards for students and teachers.

I conducted an eye-tracking study on the efficient use of different dashboard designs by researching the human preference for different forms of data visualisation. My activities included the development of experimental stimuli, data collection and statistical analysis regarding visual search strategies. Research was conducted at the Experimental Psychology lab of Utrecht University.

Front-end content consultancy for a website and server monitoring service. My responsibilities included gathering user data to provide insight regarding costumer experience and trends and managing developers on designing dashboards and optimising core components.
