Responsible for R&D engineering process and design environment tools (HW, Mech, Simulation) development for Nokia and from May 2014 onwards for Microsoft Phones organization. I was responsible for Nokia’s social responsibility program, Bridge, concerning Nokia Salo site structural changes. The duties include:• Overall project/people management• Coaching new entrepreneurs and evaluation of Business plans• Identifying, building up relations and networking with external key stakeholders (City of Salo, ELY, TEM, Educational institutes etc.)• Negotiating with companies interested to start business in Salo/Nokia PremisesAchievements:• Salo has been one of the most difficult areas regarding Bridge due to big amount of lay-offs compared to population and available new work opportunities. Despite of this project succeeded above expectations and way of execution did get a lot of positive feedback from external stakeholders (City of Salo, ELY , TEM etc.) , Nokia top management and from those people who have used Bridge services.• Over 60% of the Bridge eligible people did find a next step in their career• Tightly involved/leading the succefull negotiations with Orion Company to establish it’s factory to Salo Nokia premises.

I was responsible for managing product HW technology development globally for Nokia Symbian devices. The size of the organization was 800 people in 5 different countries . I was the member of the Symbian devices Leadership team. The duties incuded:• Building and modeling up the whole organization from the beginning• Budget responsibility of the organization and activities Execution and output responsibility of new technology development regarding quality, cost and schedule (Budget > 100MEur)• Supplier management and selection together with Nokia sourcing and suppliers (supplier base > 100) • People management Achievements:• I managed to combine HW technology development and product HW development tightly together to improve technology/product time to market and operational efficiency of the organization. • I was building up a lot of collaboration with key suppliers around the world with good results

I was responsible for Smartphones R&D activities in Nokia Salo R&D center. I had both business and people management responsibilities. The size of organization was + 200 people and 3-5 new mobile products/year. Duties included:• Budget responsibility of the organization and activities • Managing the Execution and output of Nokia E-series product programs regarding quality, cost and schedule from early concepting phase to production and maintenance• General management responsibilities of Salo R&D center • People managementAchievements:• Several succesfull Nokia products launched from Salo during this time period, fulfilling agreed targets• Excellent Budget fulfillment and operational costs management
