I have been interested in engineering ever since I was able to comprehend what it entailed. I love designing things, and constructing them with my hands. Ever since I was young I’ve excelled in math and science, which has given me a strong foundation as I dive into the engineering field. Engineering hasn’t been my sole passion though. I’ve had a lot of experiences that have enhanced my people skills. I participated in the 2013 session of Missouri Boys State; I took AP Psychology and debate in high school and criminology and black studies in college so far. All of these classes have been based around people. How we think and act, why we do the things we do, and communicating effectively. My understanding of people and how to handle myself in different situations has improved extensively thanks to these key experiences.After College I plan to graduate from the University of Missouri with a Masters in Civil Engineering with an emphasis on Structures and a Minor in Psychology. I hope to take my education and get a job designing buildings or bridges for a private company. Hopefully working my way through the ranks to become the head engineer, and taking my experiences to create my own construction company later on down the road.My mission in life all together is to be a reliable man of my word, living up to what I feel right in the world. To protect and respect my loved ones, not only helping them but also any one else I encounter, in their individual pursuit of happiness. And to continually push myself to the next task, the lesson, the next challenge to learn as much as I can because at the end of the day I’m the one who has to live with the man in the glass.
